Because we had experience in both print and web design, and because we truly loved working in both mediums, we decided that we shouldn't be completely exclusive in any one particular area.

The Inner Voice

The Never Ending Update

June 23rd, 2009

We’ve finally gotten around to dropping in our html and xml site maps. This is something that’s been on the list for awhile, and has finally rose to the top of our lengthy to do list.

If you’re not quite sure what an xml site map is for then just know that it help search engines like Google and Yahoo! to crawl and index your site much faster and with greater efficiency. It’s kind of like giving a search engine the keys to your house and letting them come over whenever they want to raid the fridge.

If this sounds interesting to you and you want to create your own xml site map, then check out xml-sitemaps.com. They’ll create several different flavors of xml site maps for free (up to 500 pages). Once generated, the maps can be uploaded to sites like Google and Yahoo!, which will help with your site’s SERP.

Paper Trail

June 19th, 2009

Jill and I were just interviewed as Dolls for Friends for an upcoming article in our local newspaper, The Columbian. The piece will be about our involvement in the upcoming Recycled Arts Festival in Vancouver, WA over the weekend of June 27/28.

This is the second year we have participated in this show, and it’s probably one of the best (and only) craft-related shows in Vancouver. The article mainly focused on our style, process and work aesthetic. We’re not sure when the piece will be coming out, but we are checking the paper regularly so we can snag a copy of it.
